Hi Lovelies, it’s that time of year again! Are you all ready for some Valentine’s Sweet Treats inspiration? We all have nothing better to be doing this year, than stay at home (and stay safe) so some homemade sweet treats made with love are a MUST! Right?
I make these all the time and they always go down well! The base stays the same, but the decoration changes. I saw these half dipped style cookies on Pinterest and loved the look. Jarek likes white chocolate so thought it best to keep him happy, since they are a Valentine’s gift for him.
Of course these biscuits can be made at any time, in any shape, and can be eaten plain or decorated as you wish. They have become one of my “pantry” staples.
Hello Lovelies. It’s that time of year again, let’s talk Valentine’s Sweet Treats. I have a mix of everything, from basic to kinda sorta “skilled”. I think the recipes are easy enough to follow and one of two are so super easy they could be done on the day.
They are all full of sugar of course, but next year I might try a few sugar free and gluten free recipes. I love sugar, but it’s good to have choices and I have baking so if you have any ideas let me know!
This is a favourite in our home as we love movies and cuddling up on the couch. I do this popcorn every valentines and its always a winner. All you need is popping kernels (or microwave popcorn) Harry Bo with the hearts and rings, and pink red and purple smarties. The only thing some of you might not like in this “recipe” is the picking out of the colours.
Hi Lovelies. We all know I’m a sucker for a themed “event” so of course I’ve got some Valentine’s post coming up. This week it’s all about the Valentine’s Lipstick. We have a few pink options, a nude and of course a red. Pink isn’t my usual colour, but we can’t deny it’s perfect for Valentine’s Day so I couldn’t resist. I went for a few different finishes, matte, high shine, glitter topper and plumping, so hopefully theres one for everyone.
1. Chocolate lollipops
Ok so if you’ve been following me for a while you’ll have seen that I love Valentine’s. I made these last year but I decided to try and jazz them up a bit. I saw this idea on pinterest and HAD to try em!
Last year I just made chocolates, but this year I’m actually using the mould how you are meant to and made lollipops!! I have no idea but I was super excited about it!
Lets get into this!
You will need: 500g of chocolate (I chose white chocolate)
Sprinkles of your choice
A lollipop mould. (I have a lips one that I bought especially for Valentine’s last year) You can get them in most baking shops.
Lollipop stick things
Just melt the chocolate until its melted and smooth. This can take a while, but do it slow and steady as if you do it too quick it goes all funny. While thats melting get your mould ready! This is when I added some sprinkles at the bottom of the mould and then added in the sticks.
Once I was happy with the texture of the chocolate I used a tea spoon to add the chocolate in. I tried to knock out the air by tapping it on the counter lightly and then lashed them in the freezer.
Ok so first let me start by saying I will not nor do I expect to get any of this for Valentine’s Day. We are currently saving and have agreed to do homemade gifts.
I love doing wish lists and lists in general really, its a big part of my life so you can expect to see it a lot more on here!
I love valentines day! I know its so commercial, but it’s such a nice day to show your loved ones how much you care. I used to send my sisters and Mum a little valentines gift, but now its just too much effort and I never got the impression that anyone actually appreciated it so I don’t do it anymore. Anyway that wasn’t relevant at all…
