Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wizz || MagpieMagpie Blog

19/01/2020

Hi Lovelies. Hope we are all well and that you’ve been enjoying 2020 so far. Not sure I’m loud and proud about my love for brows but, who doesn’t love a good strong brow, so let’s talk brows, Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wizz. While I was on roaccutane, I just fell out of love with getting them done. That being said, I’d highly recommend getting your eyebrows threaded (or waxed if you like) and tinted. This takes a lot of the hard work out.

The Anastasia Beverly Hills pomade in Medium Brown was my go to, at the time I was wearing a full, heavy, face of makeup, but now that I’m wearing a softer look the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wizz is my go to. I tend to get mine from FeelUnique. They have a great selection of shades, mine is Medium Brown, but it’s always out of stock.

Stocking Fillers Under £13 || MagpieMagpie Blog

20/12/2019

Hi Lovelies, Christmas is well and truly upon us so I have another Stocking Fillers post for you. I’ve searched high and low and found some great gifts for under £13. We’ve got some bits from Asos, Boots and Dunnes. I tried to give you guys a good mix of lifestyle, make-up, and home.

ASOS Stocking Fillers Ideas

I know socks aren’t considered such a great gift, but who doesn’t love a good pair of novelty socks. This little box set from Asos a great little filler. I always love getting a book for Christmas. You guys might not know this, but I love to draw. Unfortunately I don’t do it enough, so when I saw this book I HAD to include it. I’m on a eyeshadow palette ban, but if I got one in my stocking it wouldn’t be cheating. This Revolutions Palette is full of stunning shimmers. I know not everyone is into Crystals, but if someone you know is, this Protection Crystal Set would be perfect. It might be obvious by now that I have a mug problem, this super cute reindeer mug is defo being added to the collection! I love doing my nails, and next year I’ll perfect my Gel Polish skills. It wouldn’t be a stocking filler post if I didn’t include a little Lippie. I have many a Mac red lipstick, but not this one.

BOOTS Stocking Filler Ideas

If you follow me on instagram you’ll see I recently bought some brushes, I love buying new brushes. I’ve never tried this brand of brushes, but I’ve heard good things. These light boxes always go down a treat. I got one a few years ago and still love it. Another shop, another eyeshadow palette. Over the past few months I’ve tried a number of the elf products, and this eyeshadow palette is on my wish list. Too Faced is one of my lust brands, I don’t often get too many products from the brand, but if theres a chance to try a mini I’m all over it. This Mini Mascara is a great idea for the makeup lover in your life. My anxiety can sometimes get the better of my, I’m not a huge fan of using medication so crystals and aromatherapy are usually what I gravitate to. I’ve used the This Works Stress Check roll on before and found it amazing so I’d be keen to try this Sleep On It Trio. I don’t have a bath, but they are one of my favourite things. Last year Gillian got me an advent calendar and it had one of the Aromatherapy Associates in it and I adored it. A perfect little filler.

DUNNES Stocking Fillers Ideas

I don’t drink coffee, but the rest of the world seems to, so a reusable coffee or tea cup is a great little filler option. A bit of hair bling is bound to impress. These sparkly little numbers are perfect for the party season. Another great gift that keeps on giving are some statement earring, these jewel encrusted beauties are perfect for the magpie in your life. We all know I love a bit of homeware, this tea light holder is a great little surprise filler and this LED star is sure to shine bright. Snuggly socks aren’t just for Christmas, they’ll see you right threw the winter too.

Looking for more ideas? Heres a link to my Under £20 Stocking Filler Post and and last years Stocking Filler Post.

What are you hoping for in your stocking this year?

Hope you have a great Christmas.

See you in the New Year.

Real Techniques On The Go Glow Brush Set || MagpieMagpie Blog

08/09/2019

Hi Lovelies. Today we are back to make-up, but with a twist, brushes, Real Techniques On The Go Glow Brush Set to be exact. Brushes are something I have a small bit of an obsession with. I don’t have a huge collection, although I think I can assume it’s bigger than some. As you guys know I wear a full face day in day out. So there’s usually a few top up bits in my bag. I’ve had some random brushes over the years and loved them, but when I spotted this new kit from Real Techniques in Boots and I couldn’t resist.

Otosticks || MagpieMagpie Blog

18/08/2019

Hi Lovelies. I hope you guys are all fabulous. Let’s chat about OTOSTICK. If you’ve been following since the beginning, you’ll know I’d LOVE to get my ears pinned back (and my nose done but that another story). I have no problem with cosmetic surgery, my feeling is that it’s your body you can do as you please. The only reason I haven’t gotten them pinned back are low funds, and my crippling fear of needles and Doctors.

OTOSTICK is a great alternative for those who want to try out the whole ear pinning if they aren’t sure. Or who don’t have the funds. They are quick, easy and last. Once you get the hang of it that is! You’ll probably end up going through two boxes before you get the hang of it. Practice makes perfect!

I tend to apply them after I’ve had a shower and washed my hair. I scrub the area clean, get all of my hair out of the way, and then clean the area again with antiseptic. Always make sure the area is dry before application. Before you  remove the protective cover, try playing around with it. See where you think might be best to apply it.

Birthday Wish List 2019 || MagpieMagpie Blog

16/03/2019

Hi Lovlies,

Apologies I haven’t written in a while.

After nearly two weeks of sickness, and about a month of being very low,  I’m starting to feel more like myself again. So of course I thought to myself, why not get on here and torture myself with things I want, and will likely not get. Who doesn’t love a wish list?! As my birthday is in a few days I thought I’d start a tradition and do a birthday wish list every year! Hopefully you’ll enjoy.

A Nice Candle

We all know a gift of a candle is greatly received. My favourites are Jo Malone, and Kota candles. Kota candles recently brought out a new range and I’m very keen on one. They have also introduced some new scents, and Happy Hour is right up my street.

Jewellery Design Course

One of my biggest passions is jewellery. Hopefully that comes across in my blog and IG. After deciding to change careers I swore to myself, that even though I wasn’t working in jewellery anymore, I’d follow my passion for jewellery design. This will be my first step.
