Valentine’s Sweet Treats || MagpieMagpie Bakes

Hello Lovelies. It’s that time of year again, let’s talk Valentine’s Sweet Treats. I have a mix of everything, from basic to kinda sorta “skilled”. I think the recipes are easy enough to follow and one of two are so super easy they could be done on the day.
They are all full of sugar of course, but next year I might try a few sugar free and gluten free recipes. I love sugar, but it’s good to have choices and I have baking so if you have any ideas let me know!

Valentine’s Popcorn

This is a favourite in our home as we love movies and cuddling up on the couch. I do this popcorn every valentines and its always a winner. All you need is popping kernels (or microwave popcorn) Harry Bo with the hearts and rings, and pink red and purple smarties. The only thing some of you might not like in this “recipe” is the picking out of the colours.

Heat Shaped Biscuit Cake

This is one of Jarek’s favourite Valentine’s Sweet Treats, so when I found a mini heart shaped tin in Waitrose I couldn’t wait to try this for valentines. One of the best things about biscuit cake is how quick and easy it is. You could easily do this on the day. You just need to pop it in the freezer for an hour and it’s ready to serve.

Chocolate kisses with sprinkles

Chocolates are a classic Valentine’s Sweet Treat, I make these every year. They always go down so well. Jarek is a massive fan of white chocolate so I tend to get MilkyBar.

Valentine’s Cupcakes

Chocolate cupcake base, raspberry buttercream topping, heart sprinkles… winning

Gingerbread Hearts with Fondant Topping

I’m not 100% sure this is a real recipe. I’m sure there is a sugar biscuit version, but because I had left over bits to make gingerbread at Christmas I thought I’d tweak it. Donnas Cake Decoration shop has so many lovely colours of fondant, so I thought to myself, let’s use up the left over ingredients make gingerbread heart cookies with fondant topping.
As always if you make any of the Valentine’s Sweet Treats I’d love for you to tag me in your pics so I can have a look.
And just encase heres a look at last years post Last Minute Valentine’s Gift Ideas and Valentine’s Wish List.

I’m still struggling to get into a routine with blogging, but I’m getting there.

Till next time.
